I'm an infrastructure engineer who likes things quiet. No surprise outages, no unpatched servers, no users stuck waiting on a ticket.
At FlexTecs I look after end to end infrastructure for global clients. That means physical and virtual servers, cloud workloads, SQL databases, backups, identity and network security. I patch on schedule, watch the alerts, test the recovery plan and write things down so the next person doesn't have to guess.
Before infrastructure I spent years on the front line of IT support, and a good stretch teaching computing at schools and for UNDP. That mix taught me to explain technical things in plain words, which turns out to be half the job.
